Woodlands Dairy has proudly received the prestigious Gold Pack Award for its groundbreaking tethered caps on First Choice ESL (Extended Shelf Life) milk cartons, a testament to the company’s leadership in sustainability and innovation. This remarkable achievement was made possible through a strategic partnership with Diversified Liquid Packaging Group (DLPG) and Svalinn, both key players in sustainable packaging solutions.
A Milestone in Sustainable Packaging
The tethered caps, made from 100% renewable materials, represent a major advancement in eco-friendly packaging. These caps stay attached to the carton, significantly reducing waste and promoting recycling efficiency by preventing loose caps from entering the waste stream. This innovation aligns with Woodlands Dairy's commitment to fostering a circular economy and minimizing environmental impact.
*Marisa Maccaferri, Marketing Executive at Woodlands Dairy, emphasised the significance of this award, stating:
"This recognition underscores our dedication to sustainability and our ongoing efforts to bring innovative solutions to market. The tethered caps are just one example of how we’re working to create a more sustainable future for our planet."
A Collaboration Focused on Sustainability
Leashni Kissoon from DLPG highlighted the successful collaboration between Woodlands Dairy, DLPG and Svalinn, stating that the CueCap Eco+ solution is a major step forward in improving recycling efficiency and contributing to a greener future.
"This partnership is a celebration of sustainable innovation. Together, we have developed packaging that not only meets the needs of consumers but also contributes to environmental conservation," Kissoon said.
A Commitment to a Greener Future
Woodlands Dairy remains at the forefront of sustainability, continuously exploring new ways to expand its use of renewable materials and collaborate on eco-friendly packaging solutions. Beyond packaging, the company is also heavily invested in sustainability initiatives such as water recovery, reducing carbon emissions and supporting local community projects through its corporate social investment programs.
Celebrating Success
In recognition of this significant milestone, Marilee Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen, Brand Manager at Woodlands Dairy and First Choice, and Leashni Kissoon, Key Account Manager for Liquid Cartons at DLPG, proudly accepted the Gold Pack Award on behalf of their respective teams.
As Woodlands Dairy continues to prioritize sustainability and innovation, this award marks yet another step forward in the company’s journey towards creating a better, more sustainable future for all.
