OPERATIONS VACANCY: MAINTENANCE PLANNER

Key Performance Areas: The successful candidate will report to the Senior Planner and will primarily be responsible for supporting the Senior Maintenance Planner in work scheduling and tracking to improve maintenance practices, equipment performance and labour utilization through works order reviews, as well as data analysis and reporting.

Knowledge and Skills: This position will require a matric certificate coupled with a Maintenance Planning certificate. The successful candidate must have proven experience in maintenance planning with a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a maintenance planner in a Manufacturing Environment. Sound knowledge of maintenance and maintenance planning practices, policies, and procedures as well as CMMS experience. The successful candidate must have strong organisational and analytical skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), a valid drivers’ licence and have their own reliable transport.

AREA SALES CHANNEL MANAGER – KWA-ZULU NATAL

Key Performance Areas: The successful candidate will report to the National Channel Manager and primarily be responsible for the management of strategic key private label accounts in the KZN area. The job holder will be expected maintain and grow relationships within the region at both a DC, Buyer and store level thereby driving the achievement of sales volumes and pricing targets across the basket of products. Interfacing with SPAR sales agents to ensure that our products are effectively distributed and merchandised to improve forward share and achieve CATMAN execution requirements. Provide input and support to sales forecasting and logistical supply chain processes to ensure on time delivery is achieved. Compile weekly and monthly feedback reports and price surveys with supporting analysis and interpretation. Attend to product quality issues.

Knowledge and Skills: The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification. A minimum of 5 years’ retail FMCG sales experience as a senior sales representative or similar level with a successful track record of interaction with retail buyers will be required. Key accounting, preferably with exposure to the SPAR Group and a working knowledge of its operations and fundamental business principles will be advantageous. The candidate must be willing to travel within the region. Be a highly skilled communicator and negotiator and ensure customer service excellence is executed at all times in a proactive manner. The ability to work independently in a self disciplined manner to deliver operational and administrative sales objectives is a prerequisite.

WAREHOUSE INVENTORY SUPERVISOR

Key Performance Areas: The incumbent will be responsible for an Inventory team with the achievements of the daily, weekly and monthly deadlines. The successful candidate will need to ensure all relevant stock movements and controls are done correctly, accurately and according to procedure. Proper record keeping of all inventory related issues and updating work instructions will be key. This person will be responsible for stock counts, housekeeping and assisting the stock control team to follow up on stock discrepancies on all stock transferred from production and sold to customers, using Navision. The incumbent will be expected to regularly identify continuous improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvements in their area of responsibility.

Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will have matric, a logistics or inventory management qualification and previous supervisory experience in a dairy or FMCG environment. The incumbent must be qualified to facilitate good administrative and operational practices and must be computer literate with knowledge of Navision. The candidate must be motivated, energetic and pay attention to detail. The incumbent must also have a valid driver’s license.
