Health and Safety Officer Logistics

Key Performance Areas: The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of health and safety standards within the business. This will include scheduling risk assessments and formalizing of the required safe work procedures, investigations of IOD’s and correct completion of the necessary documents, as well as ensuring that the required safety training needs are identified and conducted within the relevant departments according to a scheduled program. The candidate will conduct continuous internal SHEQ audits and evaluations to ensure that the relevant preventative and corrective measures are implemented and maintained by the relevant departments. The candidate will also be responsible for general office administration and provide weekly and monthly feedback reports to management.

Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will be matriculated, computer literate and possess a post matric qualification in the field of safety management, which includes, but not limited to, introduction to the OHS Act, incident investigation, risk assessments and HIRA. The successful candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience in an H&S capacity and possess a valid Code 08 driver’s license. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in the areas of the OHS Act 85 of 1993, OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 or other relevant H&S management systems. The successful candidate will also be required to perform standby duties, after hours work, weekends and public holidays. Strong administrative skills, computer literacy and good verbal and written communication skills are essential. The candidate must have the ability to work independently and part of a team and be able to work under pressure.

Junior Supply Chain Supervisor

Junior Supply Chain Supervisor

Closing date: 09 December 2020

Key Performance Areas: The incumbent will be assisting the Supply Chain Superintendent with the achievement of the daily, weekly and monthly deadlines, servicing the production departments as per the production plan ensuring all relevant documentation is correct, accurate and handed to procurement. Proper recordkeeping of attendance, stock movement controls, credits and updating of work instructions will be key. This person will be involved with stock counts and assisting clerks to follow up on stock discrepancies.

Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will have matric, admin/stock qualification with previous supervisory experience in a dairy or FMCG manufacturing environment. In addition, the incumbent must have a suitable qualification to facilitate good administrative and operational practices, must be computer literate and have sound staff management principles. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly advantageous. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license.

Key Performance Areas: Achievement of the daily production plan, productivity targets including line utilization and housekeeping through effective staff management and adherence to the requirements of the quality system.

Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will have matric. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years previous Supervisory experience in dairy or a FMCG manufacturing environment. A suitable qualification to facilitate good manufacturing practices and sound staff management principles will form part of the job requirement. Previous experience and knowledge of the Tetra Pak Filling machines will be an added advantage.
