Woodlands Dairy’s support in the Kouga Community with Social Responsibility Projects

Woodlands Dairy is one of the largest manufacturers of UHT milk in South Africa, marketed under the brand FIRST CHOICE®. The company consists of a team of more than 1500 people and believes in innovative thinking, speedy development of new products and excellent customer service. Woodlands Dairy prides itself on the implementation of a corporate social investment programme which supports community projects concerned with Health and Education in the Kouga Region.

From August 2017 to May 2018, 23 projects are supported.

Application for assistance in the Kouga Region opens in March each year. All applications are narrowed down by the Corporate Social Investment committee who makes recommendations to the Woodlands Dairy board of directors. The board announces their decision in May each year.

The school opened its doors in 2009 and has four classrooms and four teachers who teach 97 learners in total. In 2017 Woodlands Dairy supported them by buying 40 web beds, stationery, colourful tables and chairs.

Dienkie Dot is a daycare and pre-primary centre with 64 children who are taught by four, fully trained teachers and caregivers. The company supplied a computer, printer, web beds and a Wendy House as an extra classroom in previous years. In 2017 Woodlands Dairy purchased a second Wendy House.
